Kim Allamby2024-04-24If you’re planning a trip to the NC mountains, Beech Retreat at 5000 Feet is certainly a property to consider. My girls trip of 7 this past weekend was one for the books. I’ll start with Carolina Cabin Rentals customer service. They were exceptional! The property was exactly what you see online. It was welcoming, clean, comfortable, roomy, fully stocked and had an added morning bonus of beautiful deer outside the picturesque sun room windows. I will definitely return and book direct with CCR.
Suzanne White2024-04-22We stayed at Green Roof Hideaway on Dawn Warwick Rd, Fleetwood, NC. This place was amazing. The views were beautiful and the area is private and quiet. The house had a well stocked kitchen, the bedrooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were well furnished with plenty of towels and wash cloths. There is a hot tub, however, I cannot review that as we chose not to use it. The house was warm and welcoming. This stay did not disappoint and we were very pleased that we found this cabin. We brought our dog and there is a perfect fenced in area for him to get around without any issues. The front and side deck had locking gates so the dog could stay out there with us the entire time (this is where we loved our time, on this beautiful deck, including the gas fire pit too, that was another bonus). We will definitely reserve this one again but for at least a week so we can fully enjoy it even longer. The only thing missing for us was a charcoal grill (has a gas grill that was not that good, and we didn't use), but we drove over to West Jefferson, which was approximately 8 miles away and picked up a charcoal grill and used that one. Do not attempt to get to this location in bad weather, the roads are narrow and somewhat steep. We drove a truck and even turning around anywhere here was a chore - again, it was totally worth it. Come prepared to relax and enjoy this beauty!!

Plenty of space for our crew to spread out and the dining area and kitchen bring us all back together for meals and family time. The owners and the reservation team at Carolina Cabin Rentals did a good job with this one. We hated to leave and are already looking forward for our next adventure.
Isha Scott2024-04-07The cabin was nice, I was upset the hot tub didn't work or was not set up for us although I paid a fee. Check in and checkout is disappointing as well. 4pm check in 10am checkout. However it was beautiful and the owners had everything we needed inside.

Alan Zdyb2024-04-04Tucked away on the side of the mountain with nice views from the deck. Very clean and comfortable. An excellent place to relax. We have been here for many weekends over the last 15 years.
Jodie Silvers2024-03-31We stayed at a cabin in Todd, NC for a long weekend. Overall the place was nice but it lacked attention and care. It was clean however both bathtub drains did not work properly and took over 15 minutes to drain. The kitchen cookware needs to be updated. Most of the skillets/pots and pans were pretty old and burnt the food so they weren't usable. The bed pillows need replaced as they are old and flat. The hot tub was nice and clean. The space was nice and will sleep 6 easily. The back deck was my favorite place to sit.
